Tinker, Tailor, Beggarman, Thief

Traditional English songs and dance tunes, focusing on the musical heritage of Oxfordshire. Tales of ordinary folk – ploughboys, poachers, shepherds, sailors and serving maids – at work, at play, in love and, quite often, in trouble with the law.
Magpie Lane brings to life songs from the manuscripts of Cecil Sharp, Vaughan Williams, and other collectors working about a hundred years ago.
